200 Medals from Participating in School Activities

This Outstanding Young Lady from Pangasinan Got Herself More than 200 Medals from Participating in School Activities.

This young lady sure kept herself busy! A 16-year-old young lady hailing from Lingayen, Pangasinan named April Christelle T. De Leon bagged herself a whopping more than 200 medals! These were collected through her efforts in participating various academic competitions such as Math Quizbees, MTAP Challenge, Campus Journalism, Malikhaing Pagsulat, Science Quizbees, other subjects’ quiz competitions.

April took a photo showcasing all of her beloved medals and posted it on social media. The photo was captioned;“These memories will forever be treasured and will always be with me wherever I go. Goodbye Lingayen, Pangasinan,” since she will soon be leaving with her dad Engr. Bobby B. De Leon for Chicago to join her mom, Dr. Maria Luz and older brother, Vic Howard.
Since she isn’t able to take all her treasured medals to Chicago, she thought it’s best to post it so she can carry it wherever she goes. This will also serve as a reminder for her that she got all these achievements at some point in her life.
She is indeed a top banana in her academe life since she has always been on the first rank from 1st to 10th grade and even graduated valedictorian on the 6th grade. On tope of that she was only Junior High School completer at the Pangasinan National High School (PNHS) who garnered the highest honors (with general average 98-100).
Yet she highly values her Outstanding Campus Journalist award from the National Schools Press Conference held in Ormoc among all her other achievements since she was able to represent Lingayen I Central School and Pangasinan National in national finals of different contests for nine times. That surely is impressive and tough to beat!
It is really amazing how she was able to do all that and still be involved in other extra-curricular activities since she took the position of being the External Vice President of their Supreme Student Government at PNHS and resided as the President of the Supreme Pupil Government in Lingayen I CS during her elementary days. She just didn’t stop there either. She became Editor-in-Chief of two multi-awarded school organs in Pangasinan– The Gulf View (Pangasinan NHS) and The Sea Breeze (Lingayen I CS).Talk about goals!
Those didn’t limit her either to participate in school beauty pageants where she took home the title asLakambini ng Wika, Miss A1, Miss United Nations, and Earth.
This girl is going places for sure!As her future plans unravel she decided to finish her Senior High School in Chicago. After that she will come back to the Philippines planning to bag her goal as ‘Iskolar ng Bayan’; further intending to take up BS Biology as her major in University leading to Med school.

How we hope there will be more stories like her from our next generation. Indeed, we are all so proud of this young hard working, intelligent lady!
