Marawi Soldier’s Last Message Will Bring You To Tears: “Pag-uwi ko Liligawan Kita”
Everyone has their own promises they can’t keep. One of them is from Technical Sergeant Tap Dinglasan a soldier who got killed when he and his fellow marines were taking back Mapandi Bridge from the hands of the Maute group.
This was from the perspective of ABS-CBN embedded correspondent Chiara Zambano. She recalled TSG Dinglasan telling her in a soft yet jest manner “liligawan kita pag balik ko” the soldiers around them giggled hence, they didn’t think that these are the final words of this young courageous man.
Zambano then replied “Bumalik ka muna nang buhay, saka tayo mag-usap.” Unfortunately, Dingalan was the only Marine who did not make it back alive that day.

Zambano imparted her final words to Dingalan:“Salamat sa serbisyo, Tap. Natuwa naman ako na kahit paano, lumusob ka sa laban nang nakatawa.”
