Hospital Staff Shoulders A Grandma’s Laboratory Fee Goes “Pera Lang Naman Po Yun Pwede Ko Pa Pong Kitain Ulit”

Nowadays, it is rare to find good samaritans. Stories of people helping people are uncommon. Fortunately we came across a story of a kind-hearted hospital staff that went viral.

Aiza Montalban a netizen from San Pablo City Laguna,posted about her experience last May 25th.She was accompanying her ill grandmother who has to undergo laboratory test upon her check-up at St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center in Sto.Tomas,Batangas. Alas, the money they brought with them is insufficient. It can only cover their fare and the doctor’s consultation fee.

Good thing they encountered Rhona Laurel Arcillas, the hospital staff who also assisted them. Upon hearing their situation, she volunteered to pitch in P 1,000 from her own pocket.
Aiza and her grandmother were moved by the random gesture.
She posted on facebook to show her gratitude.

Rhona shared her sentiments on why she was eager to help on an online interview with PEP.
This was her statement
“Kasi alam ko din po yung pakiramdam na nagigipit dahil nararanasan ko din po yun. Kaya kung meron po man akong maitutulong para po makabawas sa nararamdaman at isipin nila.
“Especially sa kagaya po niya may sakit at matanda na, kaya mas ginusto ko po na tulungan siya… Pera lang naman po yun pwede ko pa pong kitain ulit.”

she also added;“Masaya po at sana po mas marami pa po yung ma-inspire at tumulong sa kapwa natin lalo na po sa mga nangangailangan.”

It is truly heartwarming to know there are still people out there willing to lend a helping hand.
