John Paul Guido Boucher Scherrer, or popularly known as John Regala is popularly known for portraying antagonist roles in Philippine movies and television series, especially in the 90s. He is sometimes unofficially tagged as a “Bad Boy” of Philippine action films along with fellow action stars like Robin Padilla, Jeric Raval and the late Ace Vergel with the two being more known for the said nickname.
John is the son of former character actor Mel Francisco and former actress Ruby Regala. Her mother recently passed away.
In his recent interview with entertainment columnist Aster Amoyo of Abante, John seemed so devastated. He shared how hard it is to lose a mom. The netizens felt sorry for his lost, however, most of the netizens felt more pity for the actor’s current condition.
As we all know, John lost his career and now experiencing financial difficulties. As he loved to visit his mom in the US to provide care, he can’t go because of financial problems. Now that Ruby is gone, he showed regrets.
